Grandparents' Tea

Where: Your student’s classroom

Activities:

  • Grandparents have donuts and coffee with the students

  • The 1st and 2nd place Poetry Recitation winners for each grade will recite their poems for the grandparents

  • Each class as a whole will recite a poem for the grandparents

Mark your calendars and notify grandmothers and grandfathers in plenty of time to mark their calendars as well.

Be sure to RSVP the number of grandparents attending the Grandparents’ Tea by emailing the School Office NO LATER THAN September 8th

PLEASE NOTE: DUE TO ENROLLMENT, THE GRANDPARENT TEA IS LIMITED TO GRANDPARENTS ONLY.

What must my child do: Find, learn, practice, and recite a poem For clarity: The finding, learning, and practicing will be completed at home.

How do I find a poem: There are many amazing poems available online or your student’s teacher may be happy to help you out.

Can my child use costume and props as well: Absolutely

Can I come to the Poetry Recitation Contest: Absolutely. Let your student’s teacher know so that she can be prepared for seating.

We will choose the 2 best recitations for each grade.
